To do this kind of arrangement, buy any assortment of flowers you love from your grocery store or in my case, bodega. I chose spray roses, parrot tulips, hyacinths and a dear friend brought me some delightful blue scabiosa!
Very important! Remove all excess leaves/greenery from the stem of each flower... especially anything that will be submerged in water as they will rot and cause your flowers to die quickly.
Select a variety of shapes and sizes for your vessels... jam jars are great here!
Cut each type of flower to a different height so you create nice movement - think that you are creating a little scene. Try to choose what height would suit each type of flower.
Another important note! Only give tulips a small amount of water... otherwise these will quickly stand up rod straight and loose all of their windy charm.
Have fun and experiment!
