A Little Round Up

Happy Last Day of August friends!

I cannot believe it's the last day of August. Sorry I missed 3 months of newsletters! Somehow time disappears... much of my time out of the kitchen has been spent on various arrangements in the wake of my father's death. It's really remarkable how many phone calls, emails and how much paperwork is required.

I am looking forward to Fall -- it always feels like a fresh start! I even like getting new pens and notebooks like my kids - my ultimate treat is a box of new Sharpies.

A little travel inspo

We were only in Stockholm, Saltjöbaden, and Gustavsberg during this trip. Some Stockholm recs: Svenskt Tenn is on all the lists but is really the best... they are constantly changing the installations (and the store has been renovated many times in my lifetime) so it's always an inspiration. As of two years ago, you can have a meal at Ett Hem even if you are not a guest and it really is very special. Lisa Elmqvist in Saluhallen for lunch, Prinsen and Sturehof for dinner. I love going to my mother's favorite bakery from her childhood, Tösse. Artipelag is a worthwhile daytrip and while you're in the area, stop by favorite bakery in Sweden - Delselius in Gustavberg.
